  • ½ INCH OPEN-END WRENCH

  • 7/16 INCH OPEN-END WRENCH

  • 9/32 INCH DRILL BIT

  • ⅜ INCH ELECTRIC HAND DRILL

  • MARKER PEN

Parts In This Kit

  • CLUB PROTECTOR

  • TRACKING BAR

  • MOUNTING BRACKET

  • ¼ - 20 X 3 - ½ INCH HEX HEAD CAP SCREW

  1. Mount Protector onto Canopy - Separate Seat Backs

  • If you have a golf cart with separate seat backs, this step is associated with your vehicle. Otherwise follow step 2.

  1. Lose the nuts and remove the screws and canopy trim plates from the canopy (Figure 1).

  2. Place the tracking bar between the canopy and canopy supports (Figure 2).

  3. Keep the alignment of the holes in the canopy with the holes in the tracking bar. Tight the hardware to 45 in-lb (5.1 N-m) that was removed in step 1.1 (Figure 2).

  1. Mount Protector onto Canopy - One-Piece Seat Back

  • If you have a golf cart with a one-piece seat back, this step pertains to your vehicle.

  1. Keep the two gussets against the tracking bar at the back of the canopy (Figure 4). Align the tracking bar with the canopy.

  2. Use the innermost holes of the tracking as templates to mark the center of new mounting through each canopy gusset. Make two holes of 9/32 inch onto canopy gussets (Figure 4). Observe below cautiousness.

Caution

  • Avoid drilling into the canopy exterior.

  1. Make sure the security from the tracking bar to the canopy using ¼ locknuts, ¼ flat washers, and ¼ - 20 x ½ hex head screws as shown in Figure 5. Tight the hardware to 45 in-lb (5.1 N-m).

  1. Attach The Club Protector to the Tracking Bar 

    1. Slide the club protector’s beaded edge into the tracking bar’s slot as shown in Figure 6.

    2. Holding the protector in place crimps both ends of the tracking bar by using pliers (Figure 6).

  2. Install Mounting Bracket

    1. Open screws, washers, and locknuts secure the bag hoop from the rear seat support (Figure 7). Now remove bag hoop mounting hardware.

    2. Install mounting bracket to rest on the golf cart rear bag cover (Figure 8). It’s time to check the canvas. Sometimes the canvas seems tight. Add spacers as needed to raise the bracket till removing tension in the canvas.

    3. Install two nylon lock nuts, and two ¼ - 20 x 3 - ½ hex head cap screws, and add spacers as required (Figure 8).
